Pierre Aubert
Born into a farming family in the Vallée de Joux ('Mollards-des-Aubert'), Pierre Aubert (1910-1987) eventually devoted himself entirely to art. The painter and engraver took part in exhibitions at numerous international salons and galleries. He came to live in Romainmôtier in 1961. A themed walk based on his works takes visitors to some of the most picturesque parts of the old medieval town.
Julian Willis
Julian Willis is an English painter and illustrator who chose to settle in Romainmôtier. His works are used in advertising, publishing and the media. He is known for creating the posters for the ‘Foire aux Sonnailles’, an annual festival held in Romainmôtier, and has produced a large number of landscape paintings of the local region.
